Journal Policy

The Journal of Antibiotic Development and Clinical Practice (JADCP) is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal committed to publishing high-quality, impactful research in antibiotic development, antimicrobial resistance, and clinical applications. Our journal policy ensures the integrity, quality, and ethical standards of the research published while fostering transparency, inclusivity, and accessibility for a global audience.

Editorial Policy

  1. Peer Review Process:
All submitted manuscripts undergo a rigorous double-blind peer-review process to ensure impartiality and quality. This involves:

    • Initial editorial assessment for relevance, originality, and alignment with the journal's scope.
    • Expert review by at least two independent reviewers with domain expertise.
    • Final decision by the Editor-in-Chief, considering reviewer feedback and editorial standards.
  2. Criteria for Publication:
    Manuscripts must demonstrate:

    • Originality and significant contribution to the field.
    • Scientific rigor, with clear methodologies and reproducible results.
    • Ethical compliance in research involving humans, animals, or sensitive data.
  3. Manuscript Revisions:
Authors are required to address reviewer comments and submit revised manuscripts with detailed responses within the stipulated timeline. Failure to do so may result in rejection.

Ethics Policy

JADCP adheres to the highest ethical standards in research and publication, guided by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). Authors, reviewers, and editors must comply with the following ethical principles:

  1. Plagiarism:
Submissions are checked for plagiarism using advanced detection tools. Manuscripts with significant overlap or unattributed content will be rejected.

  2. Authorship Criteria:
Authorship is limited to individuals who have made substantial contributions to the study. Authors must declare their roles in the manuscript and ensure agreement among all contributors.

  3. Conflict of Interest:
Authors, reviewers, and editors must disclose any financial or non-financial conflicts of interest that may influence their work. These disclosures are published alongside accepted manuscripts.

  4. Ethics Approval:
Research involving humans or animals must include an ethical approval statement from an appropriate committee. Studies must comply with national and international ethical guidelines, such as the Declaration of Helsinki and ARRIVE guidelines.

Open Access Policy

JADCP operates under an open-access model, ensuring that all published content is freely available to readers worldwide without subscription fees. Articles are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY) license, allowing unrestricted use, distribution, and reproduction with proper attribution to the original authors.

Archiving and Preservation

The journal ensures long-term accessibility of published content through:

  • Digital Preservation: Articles are archived in the Journal Management System (JMS) and other recognized repositories.
  • Permanent Accessibility: Articles remain available even in cases of unforeseen disruptions to journal operations.

Article Processing Charges (APC)

To sustain the open-access model, JADCP charges an Article Processing Charge (APC) for accepted manuscripts. Authors from low- and middle-income countries may request fee waivers or discounts, which are considered on a case-by-case basis.

Advertising Policy

The journal accepts advertisements related to the scope of antibiotic research and clinical practice, provided they align with ethical guidelines and do not influence editorial decisions. Advertisements must not mislead or compromise the scientific integrity of the journal.

Confidentiality and Data Protection
